About Us

Foundation Studios serves working artists and the arts community in Asheville. We combine a gallery of rotating showcases with working artist studios, as well as classroom and event space. Studio artists’ disciplines include painting, printmaking, ceramics, metal arts, wood burning, fiber art and more. Artwork is available for purchase. Our mission is to function as a community center bringing people together to experience art. We host clubs, meetings, classes, workshops and events and provide a gathering space for creatives. We believe that art is a celebration of life and a way to facilitate connection.

Classes

Artists utilize our space to offer their personalized classes and workshops. Examples of classes we have hosted include basket weaving, oil painting, printmaking, parent and child classes, and jewelry making. Classes will appear on our schedule as they are offered. If you are interested in teaching a class in our space, reach out with your idea!

The Flex Space is available for special event rentals. We host many exciting events including gallery showcase openings, club meetings, private dinner parties, as well as music, comedy and poetry.
