Sketchbook Club: Who Speaks for Red Wolves?

  • Foundation Studios 27 Foundy Street Suite 10 Asheville, NC, 28801 United States (map)

Spencer Beals hosts this bi-monthly gathering for sharing inspiration and collaborating on drawings while developing a consistent sketchbook. Meetings occur on the first and third Mondays of each month, for just $10 per session. Enjoy lessons, collaborations, and featured artists each meeting. Some supplies will be provided, but you should bring your own as well, and of course, a sketchbook!

October 7th is a special occurrence of Sketchbook Club called “Who Speaks for Red Wolves?” Presenters will share wolf poetry, music, paintings, drawings, food, ceremony, book passages, dance, and other wolf inspired creativity. Only 18 red wolves still exist in the wild (5 were killed since the making of this poster). This event is sponsored by Defenders of Wildlife, a national conservation organization dedicated to the protection and restoration of imperiled species and their habitats in North America.
