Mandala Madness is back!
'Mandala' is a Sanskrit word meaning 'circle.' The roots of these sacred circles go back thousands of years to ancient Buddhist and Hindu meditation ceremonies. Early artists saw the mandala as a representation of the universe--intricate and multi-faceted, yet united as one force at a central point. Over time these emblems have appeared across cultures as ever-evolving symbols of unfolding consciousness. The mandala is ultimately an interreligious as well as secular tool used for meditation and introspection.
The show will open with a reception on March 12 from 5-8 pm, and will be on display through May 1.
